Ron Kleiner, M.A, Ed.S.

Specialist in: Standardized Test Preparation (SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT),
Calculus (including college), and general High- and Middle-School Curriculum

With my graduate-level academic background in pure mathematics, I am well-prepared to guide students through the intricacies of mathematics. Moreover, my specialized training in mathematics education equips me with the pedagogical tools and strategies to effectively engage and support students in their mathematical journey. I have taught mathematics at the community college, university undergraduate, and high school levels (formerly certified to teach in the state of Georgia and province of Ontario).

Having spent 25 years as a software professional (mostly in the financial services industry), I bring a blend of communication skills, real-world problem-solving expertise and teaching/mentoring experience. I understand the practical applications of mathematical concepts and can effectively communicate their relevance to students.

Returning to tutoring has reignited my enthusiasm for sharing my knowledge and expertise with students. I strive to instill in students a sense of confidence, curiosity, and appreciation for mathematics.

Even though I specialize in standardized test prep (SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT), Calculus (AP AB & BC, College), I would be equally happy to help with other high school math classes (Algebra, Geometry, Precalculus, etc.), other early undergraduate math courses, preparing for mathematics competitions, adult learners (e.g. for trade schools), etc.

My education background:

  • B.A., Mathematics & Computer Science: York University (summa cum laude)

  • M.A., Mathematics: University of California - Berkeley

  • B.Ed., Secondary Teaching in Mathematics & Computer Science: York University

  • Ed.S., Mathematics Education: University of Georgia
